On May 9, 2013, three families of Navy SEAL Team VI and one family of an Army National Guardsman, service members killed in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan on August 6, 2011, held a press conference at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.. Topics covered in the conference were:
1. How President Obama and Vice President Biden, having disclosed on May 4, 2011, that Navy Seal Team VI carried out the successful raid on Bin Laden’s compound resulting in the master terrorist’s death, put a retaliatory target on the backs of the fallen heroes.
2. How and why high-level military officials sent these Navy SEAL Team VI heroes into battle without special operations aviation and proper air support.
3. How and why middle-level military brass carries out too many ill-prepared missions to boost their standing with top-level military brass and the Commander-in-Chief in order that they can be promoted.
4. How the military restricts special operations servicemen and others from engaging in timely return fire when fired upon by the Taliban and other terrorist groups and interests, thus jeopardizing the servicemen’s lives.
5. How and why the denial of requested pre-assault fire may have contributed to the shoot down of the Navy SEAL Team VI helicopter and the death of these special operations servicemen.
6. How Afghani forces accompanying the Navy SEAL Team VI servicemen on the helicopter were not properly vetted and how they possibly disclosed classified information to the Taliban about the mission, resulting in the shoot down of the helicopter.
7. How military brass, while prohibiting any mention of a Judeo-Christian God, invited a Muslim cleric to the funeral for the fallen Navy SEAL Team VI heroes who disparaged in Arabic the memory of these servicemen by damning them as infidels to Allah. A video of the Muslim cleric’s “prayer” will be shown with a certified translation.
The focus of the conference centered around the claim that the White House publicity, following the bin Laden raid, by President Obama made SEAL Team VI a Taliban target for revenge. Military officials were also criticized for having dangerous policies that placed those killed at a level of unnecessary risk.
Doug Hamburger, whose son Patrick was one of those killed, called the incident an “ambush” that could have been prevented. Fox news quoted Hamburger:
“We’re very concerned that the administration had disclosed that the Navy SEALs had carried out a successful attack on bin Laden’s compound resulting in his death. And you know, never before in the history of our county (had) a sitting president released that type of information to the public, especially when he was talking about special forces. Their names and their missions had never been revealed before. And we really feel that this put our guys in an unnecessary risk.”
Report: Muslim cleric invited to pray over fallen SEALs damns them during service
From Washington Times
By Jessica Chasmar, May 9, 2013
The families of Navy SEALs killed in an August 2011 shoot-down of a helicopter in Afghanistan spoke at a press conference Thursday morning, citing a number of grievances, including an allegation that the Pentagon invited a Muslim cleric who “disparaged in Arabic the memory of these servicemen.”
In addition to blasting the Obama administration for the mission and for an official investigation they deemed a cover-up, the families complained that “military brass, while prohibiting any mention of a Judeo-Christian God, invited a Muslim cleric to the funeral for the fallen Navy SEAL Team VI heroes who disparaged in Arabic the memory of these servicemen by damning them as infidels to Allah.”
Jihad Watch also referred to the cleric’s sermon, including the video reported to have a certified captioned translation of the sermon:
Muslim cleric invited to pray over fallen SEALs damns them to hell during service
More fruit of the Obama Administration’s willful ignorance regarding Islam.
This is what the imam was quoting: “Not equal are the companions of the Fire and the companions of Paradise. The companions of Paradise – they are the attainers [of success].If We had sent down this Qur’an upon a mountain, you would have seen it humbled and coming apart from fear of Allah. And these examples We present to the people that perhaps they will give thought.” — Qur’an 59:20-21
COMMENTS/ANALYSIS: President Obama’s parading of Seal Team IV as part of his victory lap was a major break from past policies of keeping Special Operations where they belong – primarily in “the black”. His actions most likely impacted operational security (OPSEC) on many levels. The unfortunate reality is the increased use of Special Forces in recent contingencies has placed them in the sights of the media, resulting in over-exposure to the public – an undesirable situation.
The iman issue is another example of politicians/policy-makers attempting to be politically correct with absolutely no idea/concept of the price paid by their ignorance. Once again, a platform was provided to proclaim Islamic superiority over the “infidels” in front of an unsuspecting audience. The current, as well as past, U.S. administration have maintained policies of embracing Islamists in some misguided belief that they will be won over – ignoring ever increasing evidence that this will never happen.
“These courses are part of the comprehensive curriculum aiming to develop the attributes of the ‘Ideal’ Muslim American Activist Leader.” – OakTree Institute
With the news coverage of the Boston bombing, it was reported that much of the media was missing the Tsarnaev brothers’ ties to the Muslim Students Association (MSA). At this point, little will probably be learned of the actual connection to the MSA – clean-up is well underway, if not already completed.
For the most part, MSA and other Islamic special interest groups are not focused on violent acts in the United States. Terrorist actions tend to be counter-productive to fundraising and the MB’s stated methods towards a goal of the desired “grand Jihad”.
The Muslim Brotherhood in the U.S. (MB) has provided documentary evidence along with member interviews that provide a very clear understanding of their agenda to establish the dominance of Islam and sharia in the west. Subordinate organizations working to this end have been identified and the role of the Muslim American Society (MAS) to act as the MB’s public face was explained.
Mohamed Akram’s An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America, indicated:
“The Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.“
Realizing that “settlement” takes several generations, MAS/MB groups in the U.S. work closely with youth and student organizations to educate and groom the next generation of cultural jihadis. The Boston bombing actually caused the postponement of a MAS training event by the OakTree Institute, with offices in Tampa, Florida.
Established in 2011, the OakTree Institute is an Islamic Education and Leadership Development Institute that has been providing lectures, seminars and camps. Their website states it acts as a “leadership academy developing value driven, action focused, results oriented citizens of tomorrow. OakTree Institute is an affiliate of the Muslim American Society (MAS).”
According to the OakTree Institute’s Facebook page:
Courses: Both content and skills based, delivered onsite and online, to understand fundamental Islamic principles that shape the individual, family, and community at large. In addition, an intensive spiritual & character development track will be implemented to build the faith and principles of the young Muslim Activist Leader. These courses are part of the comprehensive curriculum aiming to develop the attributes of the “Ideal” Muslim American Activist Leader. Each course will include expansive reading materials, supplementary video and audio lectures, workbooks, homework assignments and exams to asses the students progress through the course.
We added the bold-type.
The staff of OakTree includes some familiar names from MAS. The financial officer, Almas Shodhan, had worked for four years as the Head of Finance at Islamic Relief USA. Islamic Relief USA’s activities have been suspicious at best.
OakTree’s listed instructors includes Qatari professor Dr. Jasser Auda, affiliated with the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT) and a host of other MB organizations. IIIT was one of many groups associated with the now defunct SAAR Foundation, a network of Islamic organizations located in Northern Virginia and raided in 2002 for financing of terrorism. IIIT was also reported to have provided at least $50,000 in funding to a Tampa, Fla.-based group World and Islam Studies Enterprise (WISE), founded by Sami Al-Arian.
OakTree’s board of directors consist of:
AMR ABOUZIED – Doctor of Internal Medicine, Tampa, FL
(past president of MAS Tampa)
AMR MORSY – Anesthesiologist, Wayne, NJ
MOHAMED OSMAN – Cardiologist, Davie, FL
AHMED ABOBAKER MOHAMED – Pediatrician, Lynn Haven, FL
HAYTHAM (S) MOHAMED – Anesthesiologist, Shrewsbury, MA
In regards to Ahmed Abobaker Mohamed, the city of Lynn Haven is adjacent to Panama City, FL. Florida corporate records disclosed that at one time, Dr. Mohamed shared an address with Panama City pediatrician Dr. Yahia Rahim.
In the 1992 Phone Book seized during the Holyland Foundation investigation into terrorist funding, Dr. Rahim (Y. Abdul-Raheem) was listed as the economic head of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood. Dr. Rahim is currently listed as the NAIT contact for the Bay County Islamic Society and is a director of the the Panama City Advanced School Corporation.
With the MAS affiliation, staff MB connections, and self-described as targeting the “‘Ideal’ Muslim American Activist Leader”, the OakTree Institute presents a disturbing new trend for those concerned about Islamists working through American youth – especially on college campuses.
Thirty plus years ago, mention terror funding in Boston and the discussion would most likely center around donation jars found in many Irish pubs labeled “Irish Relief” – dollars taking a roundabout route to the IRA.
Today, Islamic fund-raising has taken the Boston limelight with much of the money ending up in the pockets of various jihadist terror groups. Instead of pubs, funding sources include zakah from the 19 plus mosques within a 5 mile radius of Boston proper along with charity entertainment events. One of the fund raising organizers is Islamic Relief USA (IRUSA).
IRUSA’s activity in the Boston area is significant, with various events promoted as humanitarian relief efforts and coordinated primarily through the Islamic Society of Boston.
Founded in 1993, IRUSA is the U.S. branch of Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW). While claiming to be an independent affiliate of IRW, IRUSA sends a significant amount of raised capitol to IRW’s coffers. Money Jihad and The Clarion Project offer some excellent research describing the relationship between the two groups. The Clarion Project article by Ryan Mauro (Jan 2013) also details the connection between the Muslim Brotherhood and various terror support groups.
In a August 2006 posting, Debbie Schlussel describes one IRUSA event she attended, summer 2004 in Dearborn, Michigan:
An Islamic Relief fundraising dinner I attended in summer 2004 in Dearborn, Michigan, was chilling. It was just after Americans Nicholas Berg and Paul Johnson were beheaded by Muslims.
The evening’s “entertainment” consisted of young boys–some apparently as young as seven–simulating beheadings and shootings of other young boys who donned the American, Israeli, and British flags. Then they put red scarves over their heads to symbolize blood . . . and no head.
Afterward, they took off the flags and stomped on them.
Almost every Islamic leader in town was there, clapping in ecstasy. So was U.S. Congressman John Conyers, who will run the House Judiciary Committee if Democrats regain control of Congress.
In light of the recent Boston bombing, media speculation is intent on focusing on a “lone wolf” scenario or direct foreign link to explain the reasoning and support. As we noted in one of our earlier articles, the Islamic jihad is not limited by sovereign borders. It is a global movement with Islamic ideology being the common denominator.
Russia accuses Birmingham charity of aiding terror
The directors of Russia’s state security services have accused a Birmingham charity, Islamic Relief, of supporting terrorism in Chechnya and urged Britain to “surrender” two prominent figures who are living in London.
During the delegation’s first official visit to the UK, Arkady Yedelev, the Russian deputy interior minister, accused Islamic Relief of providing financial aid to terrorist groups. “We have specific documentary evidence of finances coming into Russia into the accounts of leaders of terrorist organisations in Chechnya.”
Mr Yedelev also said Moscow wanted Boris Berezovsky and Akhmed Zakaev to be “surrendered”. “We have factual evidence about their direct and indirect links to and participation in starting armed conflict and inspiring civilian unrest,” he said.
IRW/IRUSA’s activity in Boston and connection to terrorist groups, including those in Chechnya, will hopefully have investigators scrutinizing the group against Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s travels and the involvement of the two student suspects from Kazakhstan.
As with most Muslim Brotherhood front/affiliated groups, IRW/IRUSA places a heavy emphasis on using youth groups such as the Muslim Student’s Association as volunteers.
The below photo is of IRUSA youth volunteers from the 2011 “Songs for the Children“ event held at the Sheraton Boston Hotel.
Among those in the group shot are:
LEFT – Ahmad Nassri, current President of MSA UMass Dartmouth*
RIGHT – Yousef Abdallah, Northeast Operations Manager of Islamic Relief USA
Ahmad Nassri is the same individual that we identified as being interviewed by multiple media outlets as a college friend/fellow student of Boston bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. Nassri’s standing as President of MSA UMass Dartmouth is never mentioned in the interviews, with the exception of one with Reuters.
It is quite a coincidence that he and his cousin Bassel Nasri appear repeatedly as the “college friend/fellow student”. Groups and organizations maintain damage control by having a single source for media information. Nassri stated in at least one interview that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was not a member of the MSA, but Nassri’s multiple, controlled appearances indicate this may not be the case.
Nassri did provided a notable comment when interviewed by “60 minutes” that makes one wonder about who his associates really are:
“If someone a few days ago told me that one of my friends was responsible for the bombs, bombing in Boston, I would’ve named off at least 90 percent of everyone that I know before I would’ve said Dzhokhar.”
Considering his photo with Yousef Abdallah, he may have a point.

“Too often in the aftermath of these tragedies, whether they occur in Boston or Karachi, I notice people rushing to defend the faith from judgment instead of acknowledging the victims. If a link is considered or even discovered, everyone from the Western media to Hollywood deems that person “Islamophobic” for linking Islam to terrorism.” – Ali A. Rizvi
The following is by Pakistani-Canadian writer, physician and musician Ali A. Rizvi. He offers a unique perspective linking the modern Islamic jihad to an ideology that influenced the policy of Muslim nations for centuries.
An Atheist Muslim’s Perspective on the ‘Root Causes’ of Islamist Jihadism and the Politics of Islamophobia
By Ali A. Rizvi, May 3, 2013
The ambassador answered us that [their right] was founded on the Laws of the Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have answered their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Mussulman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise.
The above passage is not a reference to a declaration by al Qaeda or some Iranian fatwa. They are the words of Thomas Jefferson, then the U.S. ambassador to France, reporting to Secretary of State John Jay a conversation he’d had with Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja, Tripoli’s envoy to London, in 1786 — more than two and a quarter centuries ago.
That is before al Qaeda and the Taliban, before the creation of Israel or the Arab-Israeli conflict, before Khomeini, before Saudi Arabia, before drones, before most Americans even knew what jihad or Islam was, and, most importantly, well before the United States had engaged in a single military incursion overseas or even had an established foreign policy.
At the time, thousands of American and European trade ships entering the Mediterranean had been targeted by pirates from the Muslim Barbary states (modern-day North Africa). More than a million Westerners had been kidnapped, imprisoned and enslaved. Tripoli was the nexus for these operations. Jefferson’s attempts to negotiate resulted in deadlock, and he was told simply that the kidnapping and enslavement of the infidels would continue, tersely articulated by Adja in the exchange paraphrased above.
Adja’s position wasn’t a random one-off. This conflict continued for years, seminally resulting in the Treaty of Tripoli, signed into law by President John Adams in 1797. Article 11 of the document, a direct product of the United States’ first-ever overseas conflict, contained these famous words, cementing America’s fundamental commitment to secularism:
As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen; and, as the said States never entered into any war, or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties, that no pretext, arising from religious opinions, shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.
Yes, the establishment of secularism in America back in the 18th century was largely related to a conflict with Islamist jihadism.
So where did Abdul Rahman Adja’s bin Laden-esque words come from?
They couldn’t have been a response to American imperialism (the start of the conflict precedes the presidency of George Washington), U.S. foreign policy, globalization, AIPAC or Islamophobia. Yet his words are virtually identical to those spouted ad nauseum by jihadists today who justify their bellicosity as a reaction to these U.S.-centric factors, which were nonexistent in Adja’s time.
COMMENTS/ANALYSIS: The main point to note is that the anti-western jihad promoted by Islamists is not new nor a result of our current mid-east policies. As in past centuries, those that do not follow Islam are considered the enemies of Islam.
A secondary point is that politically correct secularism (i.e. Treaty of Tripoli, signed into law by President John Adams in 1797. Article 11) does not appease people who belong to a culture immersed in religious doctrine (i.e. sharia). If anything, they simply perceive it as a weakness.
Unfortunately, our political leaders pay little attention to the past. Most rely on a revisionist version of history that does not conflict with their idealistic view of the way things “should be. An excellent example of this, and relating to the above article, was President Obama’s remarks at a August 10, 2012 dinner regarding the description of Thomas Jefferson’s Qur’an:
As I’ve noted before, Thomas Jefferson once held a sunset dinner here with an envoy from Tunisia — perhaps the first Iftar at the White House, more than 200 years ago. And some of you, as you arrived tonight, may have seen our special display, courtesy of our friends at the Library of Congress — the Koran that belonged to Thomas Jefferson. And that’s a reminder, along with the generations of patriotic Muslims in America, that Islam — like so many faiths — is part of our national story.
Actually, the “reminder” is that Thomas Jefferson used the book to better understand the enemy he, and America, were fighting – Muslims along the Barbary coast.

Media downplay Tsarnaev connection to Muslim student group
From: Daily Caller
By Charles C. Johnson, May 3, 2013
Coverage of the Boston Marathon bombing has ignored admitted bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s connection to his college’s Muslim Student Association, a group that has close relations with both the Muslim Brotherhood and a local imam friendly with an al-Qaida operative.
Although a student leader and the mainstream media have downplayed Tsarnaev’s ties to the the group, Tsarnaev associated frequently with the Muslim Student Association (MSA) at University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth.
The Washington Post on April 27 reported that Tsarnaev, who has admitted his role in the Marathon terrorist bombing to police, played intramural soccer with MSA members, contradicting earlier reports that the U. Mass-Dartmouth student spurned an invitation to join the controversial Muslim Brotherhood-linked student organization.
“For a time, Jahar played on an intramural soccer team composed of students involved with the campus Muslim Student Association,” explained the Post’s Marc Fisher, a fact that has since been missing from coverage.
In fact, Tsarnaev played soccer with the Muslim Student Association nearly every week, according to MSA Secretary Bassel Nasri in an interview with George Stephanopoulos and Diane Sawyer on April 19, 2013. Nasri simply neglected to say they were MSA games. Although Stephanopoulos described Nasri as “a soccer buddy” of Tsarnaev, neither he nor Sawyer mentioned that they were co-religionists and that the soccer games were organized by the Muslim Student Association.
In other words – media failure.
Mr. Johnson continues by reporting the troubling past history of some MSA members:
In fact, several Muslim Student Association students have been brought up on terrorism charges. In April 2012, Muslim Student Association member Tarek Mehanna, who earned a doctorate at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, was sentenced to 17 and a half years for conspiring to aid al-Qaida. Abu Mansoor Al-Amriki (a.k.a. Omar Hammani), a terrorist leader and former president of the University of South Alabama’s Muslim Students’ Association, was added to the FBI’s Most Wanted List in 2012.
The Facebook page of the Muslim Student Association at University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth has over one hundred members and routinely advertises speeches and seminars taught by radical imams and the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR)’s Todd Gallinger, who visited the campus in the days after the Boston bombing.
Mention is made of the U.S. Government labeling CAIR as one of the many unindicted co-conspirators in a criminal conspiracy to aid Hamas (Holy land Foundation Trial). The article continues with:
… U. Mass-Dartmouth’s MSA Facebook group’s members repeatedly advertise talks by radical imams like Suhaib Webb of the Islamic Society of Boston’s Roxbury center. Webb, a convert to Islam who leads the largest mosque in New England, regularly preaches in the Cambridge mosque the two brothers attended.
Webb was an associate of Anwar Awlaki, an Al-Qaeda affiliated preacher killed in 2011 by a drone strike. Two days before the attacks of September 11, 2001, the two imams headlined a fundraiser [pdf] on behalf of Jamil al Amin (a.k.a. H. Rap Brown), who had murdered two police officers. Webb and Awlaki raised $100,000 to pay for Amin’s legal defense.
COMMENT/ANALYSIS: While all the details regarding the extent of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s involvement with MSA UMass Dartmouth is not currently known, inquires by investigators would be part of logical investigative leads.
An interesting coincidence in relation to the media response at the UMass campus are the students interviewed.
- April 19, 2013 – Providence Journal report, Cousins Ahmad Nassri and Bassel Nasri are interviewed and described as “Two fellow students of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev at the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth”.
- A CBS Boston video report also featured Ahmad Nassri and Bassel Nasri being interviewed regarding Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. They opined that Dzhokhar “wasn’t capable” of the bombing and that “something must have happened in the last few weeks” maybe influenced by his brother or on drugs.
- Apr 22 , 2013 – ABC Boston reports: “I would say sibling influence is probably a big, big factor of that kind of thing. You’d be surprised at what an older sibling can get a younger sibling to do,” said Bassel Nasri, a friend of Dzhokar Tsarnaev. “We really don’t know how he was coerced, maybe, into doing this. So I’m looking forward to knowing more about this in interviews of him.”
- Apr 22, 2013 – Wall Street Journal article quotes Ahmad Nassri, college friend, several times through the article
- May 2, 2013 – Wall Street Journal article quotes Ahmad Nassri, who played indoor soccer with Mr. Tsarnaev every Monday in New Bedford. “One time I called him rich when he showed up in a BMW, and he was like, ‘No dude, this is my friends’ car,’ ” he said.
In all the above instances and with those referred to in the Daily Caller article, no mention that Ahmad Nassri and Bassel Nasri are President and Secretary, respectively, of the Muslim Student Association of Umass Dartmouth.
It will be interesting to see what additional links develop, including if the three students arrested are involved in the MSA.
While premature to point an accusing finger at MSA-Umass Dartmouth, ignoring the reality of MSA’s foundation, history and promotion of Islamist ideology along with Boston area Islamic groups, is very naive.

We’re making new friends on the internet !
During a review of recent news stories, this article from MLive.com came to our attention:
Written by Jay Scott Smith, it contains only a few words regarding the bombing, some comments by Osama Siblani and then becomes a PR piece for the Muslim American Society. It closes with an interview of Dawud Walid, the Executive Director for the Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) who stated:
“Muslims are the greatest victims of violence in the world …”
As reported, CAIR’s response in the wake of the Boston bombing was easily predicted – take the focus away from the actual attack and paint Muslims as victims. Mr. Smith’s article promoted this agenda and we highlighted it with this tweet:
Mr. Smith responded with:
Guess he told us!

The recently foiled Canadian train terror attack is being heralded as the shining example of how law enforcement working with the Muslim community makes us all safer. This was even mentioned in the article by Fareed Zakaria we highlighted.
At what price is this level of cooperation? The citizens of Toronto are finding out …
Author/commentator/blogger Pamela Geller, was scheduled to speak at a Thornhill, Ont., synagogue. The host for the event is Rabbi Mendel Kaplan of the Chabad Flamingo Synagogue, who also serves as a force chaplin with the York Regional Police. These two factors led to the following, as reported on May 1st, 2013 by Sun News:
TORONTO — York Regional Police threatened to remove a rabbi as one of the force’s chaplains if he hosted a controversial anti-Islamist speaker at his Thornhill, Ont., synagogue.
Insp. Ricky Veerappan of the force’s diversity, equity and inclusion bureau, confirmed he and officers from the force’s hate crimes unit met with Rabbi Mendel Kaplan of the Chabad Flamingo Synagogue on Tuesday.
They expressed concern about an upcoming talk to be given by Pamela Geller, a vocal critic of radical Islam. She’s protested past plans to build a mosque near Ground Zero in New York City, and has posted anti-jihad messages in that city’s subway system.
Subsequent to his meeting with police, Kaplan cancelled Geller’s May 13 talk, which was sponsored by the Jewish Defence League (JDL) — a hard-line advocacy group which had rented space in Kaplan’s synagogue for the event.
“I think the police are turning a blind eye to who they should be keeping an eye on,” said the JDL’s Meir Weinstein, referring to radical Islamists. Weinstein said another location will be chosen for Geller’s appearance.
Veerappan said he told Kaplan that Geller’s speech “would not be endorsed by York Regional Police” and that the rabbi’s role as a force chaplain would be thrown into question if he were to allow the event.
“If he did (host Geller), then we’d have to reassess our relationship with (Kaplan),” Veerappan said. “We serve the needs of the entire community. Some of the stuff that Ms. Geller speaks about runs contrary to the values of York Regional Police and the work we do in engaging our communities.”
Veerappan said a member of York’s Muslim community, whom he wouldn’t identify, brought Geller’s scheduled talk to the attention of police.
IMPORTANT NOTE: in March 2013, the University of Toronto hosted Tariq Ramadan who had been denied entry into the U.S. because of his terrorist ties. The Muslim chaplin for the university is Imam Abdul Hai Patel – who also serves with Rabbi Kaplan as a York Regional Police chaplin. Despite Ramadan’s history, there are no known reports of the York Regional Police approaching Iman Patel over reassessing the relationship with him
This is not the first time police in Toronto have used their authority to intimidate on behalf of area Muslim interests.
In 2007, then Hamilton Spectator columnist Tahir Gora reported a death threat posted on his Facebook page, listing him as an enemy of Islam and he should be put to death. He was “visited two days later by a pair of Muslim officers who tried to talk him out of filing a complaint against a fellow Muslim.”
In 2011, Canadian author Tarek Fatah wrote of his frustration over how the police in Toronto handled death threats he received. He wrote:
I contacted Toronto police. Within hours, two uniformed policemen from 51 Division came to interview me in hospital. However, barely one minute later, we were interrupted. Two men entered the room and told everybody else to leave. They did not identify themselves, but five minutes into what amounted to a two-hour interrogation, I realized they were police intelligence officers. One of them, I recognized by reputation – a Muslim officer who had shut down a previous investigation into a death threat against me in 2008, and another one against a partner in liberal Islam, Tahir Gora.
He continues …
The Toronto police, in their wish to promote an image of diversity and outreach, have dedicated themselves to serving and protecting the the radical Islamist elements within our city.
Fatah’s last comment above is disturbing, but highlights the continuing theme when dealing with Islamist tactics against western society/institutions. Documentation from the Muslim Brotherhood establishes the method of destroying from within to achieve the their goals:
“The process of settlement is a “Civilization-Jihadist Proecess” with all the word means. The Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated… “ – Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Brotherhood in North America
By using the west’s constant preoccupation with political correctness, cultural jihadists use a readily adaptable formula to establish themselves with positions of influence to obtain the goal.
The basic steps are:
- Identify/create a threat based on “radical” elements of the Islamic community
- Present the argument that “only Muslims can understand Muslims”
- Offer to assist officials by being appointed to advisory positions, review boards, etc. This may include recommending “sympathetic” employees promoted/assigned to influential positions.
- Threaten that “bad things will happen” if suggestions and input is ignored.
This is the same formula used by any protection racket run by a criminal enterprise*.
The citizens of Toronto are victims of extortion. It appears their local government has chosen to capitulate to Islamic pressure and the area police have now taken on the role of “mob enforcer”.
* David Gaubatz and Paul Sperry have effectively shown that the Muslim Brotherhood is essentially a criminal enterprise/organized crime in their book, Muslim Mafia – Inside the Secret Underworld That’s Conspiring to Islamize America It is reported a free copy of can be obtained HERE.
- Excluded by the Inclusion Cops (nationalreview.com)
Several weeks ago we indicated that following the Boston bombing there would be calls to embrace the U.S. Muslim community to help prevent future incidents – implying Muslims are essentially victims. CAIR has confirmed the agenda and now CNN’s Fareed Zakaria has contributed to the misdirection campaign.
In an Apr 24, 2013 Washington Post article (also in Lebanon’s Daily Star), Zakaria attempts to explain away the actions of the Tsarnaev brothers as “just two alienated youths who turned toward hate and then, allegedly, to murder.”
Since 9/11, foreign-inspired terrorism has claimed about two dozen lives in the United States. (Meanwhile, more than 100,000 have been killed in gun homicides and more than 400,000 in motor-vehicle accidents.) One crucial reason the number of terrorism deaths is so low is that America does not have large pools of alienated immigrants. Polls repeatedly have shown that Muslim immigrants to the U.S. embrace core American values. The American assimilation machine continues to function well.
