Recommended Reading: Texas Attack Is Yet Another Case of ‘Known Wolf’ Terrorism…

In a May 4, 2015 response to the recent Islamic terror attacks in Garland Texas, Patrick Poole writes (PJ Media) …

It appears that this attack is yet another case of what I have termed “known wolf” syndrome, when the suspect is already known to law enforcement and intelligence. Virtually every terror attack in the West over the past year has been by one of these “known wolf” suspects.

Some additional articles by Poole covering what he coins as “Known Wolf” incidents:

COMMENT/ANALYSIS: The “Lone Wolf”  label provides wiggle room for agencies like the FBI.   Terrorists that slip through the investigative crack, demonstrate the shortcomings of our counter-terror operations as noted by Poole in Oct 2014.  For Islamist groups in the U.S., the term helps add another layer of deniability, just like “self- radicalization”
